Volunteers are the heart of our mission. At Stay Ready Arkansas, we believe that change happens when communities come together—and our volunteers play a vital role in driving that change forward. By giving your time, energy, and passion, you can make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals who are at risk for HIV and help us build a healthier, more informed Arkansas.
Whether you have a few hours to spare each month or want to take on a more active role, there’s a place for you in our volunteer community. Our volunteer opportunities are diverse and flexible, allowing you to use your skills, interests, and voice in ways that feel meaningful and empowering.
When you volunteer with Stay Ready Arkansas, you're not just giving back—you’re becoming part of something bigger. You’re helping to change the narrative around HIV, empower individuals with knowledge, and foster a culture of compassion, dignity, and prevention. You’ll also gain valuable experience, build new relationships, and have opportunities to grow as a leader and advocate in your community.
Everyone is welcome to volunteer. Whether you’re a student, a retiree, a healthcare professional, or simply someone who cares about the health and future of Arkansas, we invite you to join us. No prior experience in public health or HIV education is necessary—just a willingness to help and a heart for service. We provide training and support so you can feel confident and prepared to make a difference.
Advocacy is a powerful tool for change—and at Stay Ready Arkansas, we believe that every voice matters. Becoming an advocate means standing up for health equity, breaking down stigma, and influencing policies that shape access to HIV prevention and care across our state. When you raise your voice, you help drive the conversation forward and bring awareness to the issues that matter most to individuals and communities impacted by HIV.
Advocates help us build bridges between communities and decision-makers, ensuring that policies, programs, and funding reflect the real needs of people on the ground. Whether you're new to advocacy or have years of experience in organizing and outreach, your passion can help move Arkansas toward a more just and inclusive future—one where everyone has the opportunity to stay safe, stay informed, and stay healthy.
Advocacy creates real, systemic change. It helps eliminate the social and structural barriers that prevent people from accessing care—such as stigma, discrimination, and lack of funding. Advocates bring these issues to light, demand action, and help build a future where prevention is prioritized and no one is left behind. Through advocacy, we challenge outdated narratives, uplift communities, and push for solutions that reflect compassion, science, and justice.
Anyone with a passion for equity and a desire to make a difference can be an advocate. You don’t need a background in public health or politics—just a willingness to learn, speak out, and take action. Whether you’re writing a letter to your representative, hosting a community conversation, or sharing your own story, your voice has the power to inspire change.
